A History Seminar at the University of Mary Washington
Katelyn reminded me of this video made about the changes on a Wikipedia page about Heavy Metal. It’s worth checking out for a visual representation of the changes that happen over time.

Jon put together a very interesting video. The streaming evolution of a wikipedia page gives a sense of the difficulties an online publishing community faces as they try to maintain the integrity of information and an, almost natural, universal format. To many people, a quick wiki search has been helpful for quick, general information or dates, but on so many occasions trying to follow the information by the bibliography won’t get you very far. Overall though, Jon kept a pretty neutral attitude whether or not the changes were for better or for worse, and I would have liked to have heard more of his opinions regarding the issues he discussed.
